Essential movement controls
On desktop, move with W/A/S/D and jump with Space. Use Q to step down through movement speeds and E to step up. WCUE’s speed ladder matters: a slow crouch supports hunting and close roleplay, walking keeps camp scenes readable, and faster speeds are for crossing territory. If your cat seems stuck, press E once or turn off the current animation before assuming the server has frozen.
On mobile, the left touch area moves your cat and the right side turns the camera. Visible action buttons handle jumping, speed, hunting, menus, and interactions. Button placement can change with screen size and Roblox interface updates. Keep both thumbs away from a context prompt for a moment if it appears and disappears while you are turning.
The official experience description specifically documents Q/E for speed, V for dropping held items, and Shift+P for toggling the overlay. The rest of this guide uses current community references checked on August 26, 2026 and should be compared with the live Settings and Animations menus after a major update.
Camera, minimap, and interface
Use the mouse wheel to zoom on desktop and right-click-drag to rotate the camera. On mobile, pinch or use the supported touch gesture to zoom, then drag the right side to rotate. A medium zoom is easiest for walking through dens; a wider view helps follow scent trails and see players approaching a roleplay scene.
Press M on desktop to toggle the minimap. The minimap is an orientation aid, not a substitute for learning territory names and landmarks. If it is unavailable on mobile or hidden by the current layout, open the options bar and look for the Minimap control. Starpedia and Clans & Map offer location information and discovered teleports when you need a destination rather than a compass.
Press Shift+P to hide or restore the interface overlay on desktop. This is useful for screenshots, but it can also make a new player think every menu vanished. Restore the overlay before troubleshooting missing buttons. If the header or a Roblox system panel covers a WCUE control on a narrow phone, close the system panel, rotate the camera, and try landscape orientation if your device supports it.
Items, kits, and interaction prompts
Press V on desktop to drop the item held in your cat’s mouth. Mobile uses a visible held-item control. WCUE references describe sticks, flowers, shells, leaves, moss, cobwebs, herbs, toys, and prey as carryable items, though availability depends on the map and current event. You normally carry one world item at a time.
Picking up another player’s kit is a consent-based interaction. Community documentation says the kit player must allow pick-up requests, the nearby player sends a request, and the kit player accepts before being carried. Either player can end the carry. Do not use positioning tricks to bypass a declined request.
Context prompts depend on range and camera angle. If a herb, prey marker, player, or item will not respond, stop moving, face it, zoom slightly, and wait for the prompt. Repeated clicking while running past often makes the interaction harder to read.
Poses and expression shortcuts
The Animations menu is the authoritative control surface for your current version. Community references list desktop shortcuts including C for loaf sit, R for sit, Y for rest, T for sleep, U for back lay, G for crouch sit, J for side sleep, K for side rest, X for flat sleep, Z for stretch, and B for groom. Expression shortcuts have also been documented, including number keys for closed eyes, tail movement, ear positions, open mouth, and limp poses.
Treat that list as a convenience reference, not a promise that every hotkey stays assigned forever. Open Animations if a shortcut does nothing. Many stationary poses prevent movement until toggled off. If your cat remains frozen, select the active pose again, choose a different animation, or increase speed with E.
Claws can be sheathed or unsheathed through the pose interface. Public references state that the visual claws do not harm other players. Wounds and limps are roleplay presentation tools, not evidence that another player can force damage through an undocumented attack system.
Hunting controls
Lower your speed until the cat crouches, then use the hunting or scent control shown in the live interface. Community hunting documentation says a scent bar or icon becomes available, allowing you to select a trail. Follow at a slow pace. Sprinting or cantering is reported to weaken the trail, so use Q to reduce speed if markers fade.
For land prey, interact when the animal becomes available, creep forward as the approach indicator fills, and press the brief LUNGE prompt. For fishing, select the pale fish beacon near water and time the golden fish indicator against the success zone. These are WCUE interface actions rather than permanent Roblox keybinds, so mobile and desktop both rely on the on-screen prompt for the final step.
The hunting guide covers trail recovery, prey types, and fishing timing in more detail. If a prompt differs from this description, follow the live prompt and note the server version rather than forcing an old video’s timing.
Menu controls and what each one does
The bottom options bar currently documents a practical sequence: Clans & Map, Animations, Editor, Exchange Designs, Your Cat Info, Starpedia, Server Browser, Settings, and Minimap. Use Clans & Map for allegiance and unlocked teleports. Use Editor for the morph itself. Use Your Cat Info for the displayed name, biography, role, size, and roleplay health presentation.
Exchange Designs opens the morph-sharing flow. Server Browser separates roleplay servers from trading servers. Starpedia explains discovered territories, collected herbs, and the game’s lore reference. Settings should be the first place you look for presentation, performance, or interface changes; do not follow a third-party “fix” that asks you to edit files or install software.
On mobile, close one panel before opening another. On desktop, Escape may close Roblox UI or release focus, but use the panel’s own close control when available so you do not accidentally open the Roblox menu.
Control troubleshooting
When input fails, test in a quiet area. Toggle off poses, restore the overlay, click the game window to regain focus, and verify that Roblox chat is not capturing the keyboard. Raise and lower speed once. If only one server is affected, rejoin a different server before changing device settings.
If camera movement is erratic, release mouse buttons, reset zoom, and move away from a wall or dense foliage. If mobile buttons overlap, check device scaling and orientation rather than repeatedly tapping. If performance is poor, lower Roblox graphics gradually and retest camera movement; do not disable account security or install “FPS unlockers” from unknown sources.
For accessibility, prefer the on-screen Animations menu over memorizing many shortcuts, keep a wider camera during travel, and choose a speed that gives you time to read prompts. A control is successful when it supports the scene you want, not when you travel at maximum speed everywhere.
Evidence status
Q/E, V, and Shift+P are official-description controls. W/A/S/D, Space, camera, M, animation shortcuts, menu order, kit requests, and hunting prompts are community corroborated as of 2026-08-26. Mobile placement and any newly rebound hotkeys still require a live-interface check after updates.
